Position: Site Construction Coordinator
Primary Objective:
The Site Construction Coordinator oversees and directs the project's construction activities in consultation/directives from the Project Manager, Senior Engineer and Construction Supervisor from conception to completion and reviews the project in-depth to schedule deliverables, measure works and provide budgetary advice.
Project Deliverables:
Coordinates with the Senior Engineer and Construction Supervisor the manpower and supervision of attending labour and subcontractor resources.
Coordinates construction activities to achieve the Scope of Work for the project in accordance with the approved Project Schedule.
Coordinates adequate and correct levels of plant and materials are available to meet the Project Schedule
Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes.
Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote a culture of safety. Management
Oversee and direct the assigned project team.
Issues purchase requisitions to the Office to procure materials two weeks in advance
Coordinates sub-contractor schedules, quality of work and trade package coordination.
Assist in preparing payment certificates and Variation payments as directed by the Project Manager, Senior Engineer and Construction Supervisor.
Monitor and report in a timely manner on risks and opportunities.
Reviewing all drawings to be issued to contractors and ensuring the latest revisions are implemented
Liaising with Construction Supervisor and Stores personnel to keep on top of ordering materials for works on site
Completing quality control and assurance and providing feedback to the team
Inventory management on site
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Project Manager or his designate.
Experience:
• Minimum of two (2) years of practical building construction experience,
• Proven ability to deliver large-scale and multi-projects on schedule as per plan.
• Knowledge of building materials and products, regulations, and quality standards
• Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Experience writing project-related reports.
• Understand proper safety procedures, recognition of hazards, and minimize risk to person and property.
• Knowledge and use of typical construction tools, and appropriate tools to use for each task.
• Basic knowledge to erect and dismantle scaffolding as per safety guidelines.
• Form work methodology
Qualifications:
• Certificate in Civil and Construction Management
• Supervisory Management certification would be an assist
